Mortgage Processor Losing JOBs

Filled in Mortgage Problems

Recently, I was contacted by a mortgage loan company requesting that I come in for an interview.  This interview came as the result of an application that I had put in many months ago for a job working in the mortgage industry.

I decided to decline the interview and continue my search.

Today, I belive that may have been the right choice.

As I read national news articles referring to the layoff and pick slips being received by many workers in the mortgage lending industry I am pretty sure that I made the right decision.

With the strain on the economy and people currently in risk of losing there home, many people are not in the market to purchase homes.  This makes it difficult for the mortgage loan industry and the foreclosures makes it very difficult on banks and lending industries to keep there doors open.

In a recent article I read that HSCB plan to cut overe 600 jobs in the upcoming fiscal year.  Accredited Home Lenders has already annouced the lay off of over 1600 of its employees.
