Norfolk City Public School Information

Recently the Virginia General Assembly passed a law requiring that all grades 6 and up studenst have a tetanus, pertusis, diphtheria, Tdap, booster shot if they have not had one in at least five years. 

If your 6th grader has not had any of these shots (tetanus, pertusis, diphtheria, Tdap, booster) you must be sure to see your family doctor to receive the Tdap booster and provide information that the shot has been done to your school nurse.

You can receive this vaccine shot free if you go to the Norfolk Public Health Department.  You can make an appointment at any of the following locations for you child to receive there Tdap vaccination.

It is very important that you take the necessary steps to comply with this requirement.
